Abstract

India is the second most populous country in the world, meaning there is no shortage of youth potential and talent. Using this talent the country could reach greater heights in different fields. The Indian Education system varies from one state to another due to no particular standard system over the Indian Schools.

This paper examines the overall Annual Expenditure of Revenue on Education by the Indian Government. The ideology behind the paper was to analyze the Indian Education System and how the government plays its role by providing funds and allotting different schemes and policies. We examine state-wise government funding for the education system and how it is different for every other state. The information gathered helps us to figure out the 5 Best Performing States by the Annual Expenditure of Revenue on Education by the Indian Government and what all they have in common and the 5 worst performing states by the Annual Expenditure of Revenue on Education by the Indian Government. Lastly, we discussed the correlation between the per capita income of states and the GDP of states.
