Perception and literacy of NFTs among different age groups residing in Delhi NCR

Abstract

For the past few years, NFTs and cryptocurrency have gained a lot of popularity and many people have started investing more into NFTs, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. What was formerly an alternative investment solely in the domain of speculators is now being openly discussed as a viable option for a portion of any investor's portfolio, even in their retirement plans. Since a lot of people have started to invest into cryptocurrency and NFTs, the present study explores the perception and literacy of people belonging to different age groups residing in Delhi, NCR and why people, including the younger generation of age group less than 18 have started to do so.A survey was conducted to assess the 38 respondents on their perception and literacy on NFTs and cryptocurrency.It can be concluded from the study and the survey performed that people belonging to the age group 19-30 are more aware about NFTs than people belonging to other age groups. The present study can be used to understand the overall awareness of NFTs and cryptocurrency among people of different age groups.
