Abstract With the current state of the world, humans are looking further beyond the realm of our planet to find more habitable planets that can support mankind and its development. This review paper aims to provide a simple overall understanding of three methods of exoplanet detection. It explores the advantages and disadvantages of each method and gives an overview of the methods in terms that are more accessible to high school students. The review paper was written with the help of various other information available on the internet and through deeper research by reading multiple papers written by different authors and having a full understanding of how these methods work. With a thorough review, there is a conclusion that a combination of two or more methods of exoplanet detection, accurate and concise results can be reached about the existence of these planets, as well as their atmosphere and other factors that are important to habitable planets.
